Coach News: 08/08/2022 - Big Changes

Howdy Coaches,

Today we have a couple of quick and exciting announcements. The all-new coach page is now live and updates to the page will continue to stream out as we draw nearer to the start of coach training September 1st. Make sure to stop by and have a look by visiting the COACH link at the top of the SoCal League web page.

It's a brave new world and we're happy to say that as promised we are paving the road towards a better and more seemless coaching experience. To that end, with the launch of the Coach page, we are extremely excited to announce the following two things today...

1. Coach Fee - The $25 Coach Fee is gone. Finished. Terminated. There will no longer be a registration fee for any coach at any level within the SoCal League. This fee was previously covered for Level 3 Coaches only.

2. Coach Licensing - Coach licensing has been reworked and some signifigant changes have been made. There will now only be two levels of licensure. The new system is aimed at reducing the barriers to recruiting coaches while encouraging existing coaches to reach their full coaching potential. We know there will be many questions but, for now, rest assured that your certifications will carry over into the new sytem.

Stay tuned for further updates and we hope that wherever this news find you that you are happy, healthy, and stoked to jump into Season 15!

See you in the Dirt Zone,

The SoCal Team
